I am 33 years old and from the city, Saltovka, in the region of Kharkiv.
On February 24 at 5:00, hell began. We woke up to the fact that the walls of our ninth floor apartment block were shaking, and even the bed was vibrating. On the same day, my young son and I moved to an underground garage in which the temperature was +8 degrees and the humidity was 96%. We lived there for six days, slept on the floor, put on a lot of clothes and covered ourselves with warm blankets. Over the course of those days, we began to distinguish what they are shooting and who is shooting. The peak for us was the very low flying fighters planes. At that moment, we were going through the worst moments of our lives, which you wouldn't wish on anyone! We prayed hard.
We arrived in Poltava in early March. It took us two months to understand that we can continue to live and not be afraid of every rustle. We can breathe calmly, live and rejoice that we are alive, thanks to God!
At the end of May, we got to the Church of Salvation in Poltava. After just the first meeting there, the mood became much better and life seemed even more beautiful! Our pastor Vyacheslav and his wife Tatiana are wonderful people; it's great that I came to them! They are responsive and caring, with an open soul and heart, they will always help!
I give thanks with all of my heart for the Salvation Church for their humanitarian assistance! I want everyone to know how much they have helped me and my son. They provided such necessary help at this time, wonderful food and hygiene kits, and medicine! My son is happy to go to children's groups on Saturdays, and after receiving gifts, he squeals with pleasure!
