When the school where Anna had worked as a primary teacher for 20 years was destroyed by Russian bombing, she and her family were forced to leave their hometown of Volnovakha. The bombing destroyed the school, along with hospitals, pharmacies and shops.

Led by the Lord, they travelled 300 miles to the city of Poltava. They had heard of the Church of Salvation who welcomed them, providing them with clothes, food, medicine and essential hygiene kits. Along with humanitarian aid, Anna and her family have also had the opportunity to talk about their experience and to feel part of the church family.
